Mechon 179 was a Mechanoid. It was a gardener on the planet Hesperus, where the Mechanoids had been preparing for eventual human colonisation for centuries. 179 helped defend the planet against a Dalek invasion, and was ultimately destroyed during the battle. (PROSE: War of the Daleks)
