The doorman was a male human who lived near the Farringham School for Boys in the early 20th century. He fought in the Crimean War and was outside the dance hall on 11 November 1913, asking for donations for the Veterans of the Crimea, a charity for the by then aged veterans of the war. The school's history master John Smith obliged him by making a donation as he entered the dance hall with Joan Redfern. However, Son of Mine vapourised him when he asked him for donations.
