Professor Pillbright was a historian in 20th century London.

He was contacted by Daleks based on the Moon and given use of one of their disintegrator weapons. As a test run, Pillbright had Max Sylvester use it to raid a bank, disintegrating the huge vault door.

The money was irradiated and therefore worthless, but the Professor offered to control the radiation and use the weapon to raid the gold reserves of the Bank of England for a fair share of the profits. However, once he handed over control of the disintegrator to Sylvester, the crime boss turned it on him, disintegrating him. (COMIC: The Disintegrator)
