Philip Larrent was a student at Sayle College. He, like the other students of the college, was being influenced by the inhabitants of a dark planet. He tried to resist long enough to take an alien specimen to Professor Meechley, but on the way the aliens struggled for control over him and crashed his car. The Third Doctor and Liz Shaw witnessed the accident, and while Liz called emergency services, the Doctor found the specimen on Larrent, who was taken to the hospital. (PROSE: The Dark Planet)
