The Arcateenian Mary and the 19th century prostitute in TV: Greeks Bearing Gifts are clearly different individuals (though the credits simply credit Daniela Denby-Ashe as Mary). Currently, the Mary (Greeks Bearing Gifts) page is a muddled mess of counting both the Arcateenian possessing the original Mary (that also goes by Mary), and the original Mary from the 1812 scenes. We don't exactly count Baines and Son of Mine on one page, so why do this?

However, I'm not entirely sure what to disambiguate them into. -- Tybort (talk page) 21:47, February 4, 2012 (UTC)

You can't disambiguate when there's no meaningful method of separation. Leave it alone. Improve the writing of the article such that it is no longer a "muddled mess". Don't try to create article names that would themselves be highly muddled. No, the simplest thing, by far, is to just have "Mary (Greeks Bearing Gifts)", and explain the double identity as clearly as you possibly can.
The reason we don't do this with Baines and Son of Mine is because Paul Cornell gave us two distinct names. We weren't given that luxury with Greeks, so we deal the hand played to us.

I've split the article and written a brief intro. It's still a little rough, but I think it explains the article. --Tangerineduel / talk 15:28, February 6, 2012 (UTC)
