I think the average user of this template, who knows nothing of the NAs, will wonder what the hell we're doing. It's not a navbox's job to be a ''timeline''. Is this the most sensible way of organising the information? It seems to be done by, I guess, narrative timeline order. So you've got "Ace, Benny" (where I assume Ace is the dominant companion) and then "Benny, Ace" (where I guess Benny is the primary companion). In most every other template of this ilk, we just put all the stories involving particular companions into a lump, without regard to narrative order (but maybe, out of sheer convenience, using published order).
I think the average user of this template, who knows nothing of the NAs, will wonder what the hell we're doing. It's not a navbox's job to be a timeline. It should be saying, "here are the books that involve these characters — it's up to you to click on the link and get some better context".
