Hath Gable was the leader of the Hath colonists in their war with the human colonists of the planet Messaline. After peace was declared between the Hath and humans, Gable prepared Jenny's body for her funeral with Cline and was bewildered when the supposedly dead soldier returned to life and stole a spaceship.
