Under Reykjavik was a Brief Encounter short story printed in DWM 174.

Summary

Romana tries to add a new piece of equipment to the TARDIS. It shorts out, landing the TARDIS in Magnus Greel's bunker. They have a brief conversation, which covers time travel. As she departs he begins to seriously consider it as a method of escape.

Characters

  • Jacked a G129AT ordnance unit into the TARDIS. It shorted out some old wire, landing her in Greel's bunker. She eventually repairs the TARDIS with one of the Doctor's old tie pins.
  • It is early in Greel's dictatorship.
  • Someone of the 20th century might describe Greel as a 'psychotic deviant'.
  • Most likely has cannibalistic tendencies (he contemplates slaughtering, cooking and eating Romana).
