The Alpha Centauri System was a binary star system, only 4 light years from the sol system. [source needed]
Components
- The system contained two primary stars, Alpha Centauri A and B; they orbited each other.
- The star Proxima Centauri also orbited the pair. It had its own star system.
- Presumably, the homeworld of the Alpha Centaurans orbited one of the two primary stars. (DW: The Curse of Peladon, The Monster of Peladon)
