I only started watching Doctor Who again after I happened to see David Tennants` portrayal of the Timelord. I thought he played the part brilliantly and the whole idea of the Doctor was written specially for him. | |||
I`d never seen him in anything else on TV but did see him in the Harry Potter movie around the same time as he started playing the part of the Doctor. | |||
Only time will tell if he remains in the part although he has often remarked on Dr Who Confidential and in interviews that he likes nothing better than to tease the press with talk of his imminent departure. Some people started rumours when only a few episodes of the 2nd series had been shown, just because Christopher Eccleston announced his leaving mid-way through series 1. | |||
I am currently mystified that sometimes you can read an article on the BBC Dr Who website about David staying on as the Doctor for the 2008 christmas special and then when you look for it again you can`t find the story. | |||
Oh well, at least the wait will be over soon, then we will see if all the speculation that has taken place over the past few weeks will come to anything. | |||
