Jackson was a sailor who was abducted by Striker and made a member of his crew in the race for Enlightenment. Unlike his fellow sailors, he did not drink alcohol, and so refused to take the drink which the Eternals used to hynotise the human crew. Believing that the officers had put something in the drinking water, Jackson asked Turlough to assist him in a mutiny, but the Eternals were able to sense it in their minds and Jackson was prevented from acting any further on it.
