Richard Martin was a 19th century criminal. His daughter Lucy and he swindled large amounts of money from British aristocrats until they encountered Sebastian Grayle, who killed him in an alternative time line.
When this was corrected, Martin was alive, but a being thought of him as a paradox and promptly killed him for his time energies. (BFA: Seasons of Fear)
