The Demons were a type of advanced Roboman developed in the 42nd century by Daleks allied with the Earth Alliance.
The Alliance Daleks brought human criminals to the Pkowik system station for "rehabilitation". While there, they were subjected to a number of genetic enhancements, including cellular invisibility, a degree of shape-shifting, and the ability to project a psychic mind-trick to make them seem trustworthy to just about anyone. They would also imprint on the first face they looked upon — much like ducklings — making them unswerving in their loyalty. The plan was to use them as undercover agents for the Dalek cause. (AUDIO: The Demons)
An attack by Enemy Daleks destroyed most of the equipment on the station. Only three subjects had made it to the advanced stages of the project by then.
- Morli was awakened during the attack, before conditioning could be applied. (AUDIO: Dalek Empire II: Dalek War)
- Galanar was activated roughly 2500 years later, and imprinted on Georgi Selestru. (AUDIO: The Demons)
- Elaria was activated by the Enemy Daleks, and imprinted on them. (AUDIO: The Warriors)
