Audrey Dudman was Ace's mother. She was the daughter of Frank and Kathleen Dudman and was born during the Second World War. In 1943, the ship which Frank was serving on was torpedoed and he was proclaimed missing, presumed dead.

Ace, initially not knowing the young Audrey was her mother, hated her name because of its connection to her mother, but came to love her, at least partially due to her friendship with Kathleen.
