BBC Children's Books is a division of BBC Worldwide (the marketing arm of the BBC), and licenses the publication of BBC related books targeted at a young market. BBC Children's Books publications are usually published in association with the publisher Penguin Books.

The imprint published a 14-volume series of hardcovers entitled the Doctor Who Files, which featured original short stories. These stories were later compiled into another BBC Children's Books release, The Doctor Who Stories, in the fall of 2009.

In 2009, the BBC Children's Books imprint published the 10-volume Doctor Who series The Darksmith Legacy.
