Gwen Cooper once derisively called Jack Harkness and Ianto Jones "The Chuckle Brothers". (TW: Children of Earth: Day One) Hilary Mercer met the Chuckle Brothers at Weston-super-Mare Playhouse. Behind the scenes
- Among the Chuckle Brothers' many comedy stage shows was a Doctor Who spoof entitled Doctor What and the Return of the Garlics.
- Russell T Davies, who wrote Children of Earth: Day One, also wrote some scripts for the Chuckle Brothers' long-running TV series ChuckleVision in the 1990s.
