-Right now there's really no need to give Melody multiple articles. There is one incarnation who has appeared in a handful of stories, and two other incarnations who have appeared in one story each. River will probably continue to appear in stories for years, but it will most likely just be the one incarnation anyway with maybe a flashback or two to the other two. At present, there isn't really enough information to make it worth adding more pages. Also, Rassilon of Old, you wouldn't have  understood the aon's references even if you had seen the classic series. He's talking about the other spin-off media.  :I think everyone bug Rassilon of Old agrees here, so what we need for a consensus is to find out what he thinks is missing from a single page, and whether we can get what he wants without splitting the page. So here's a suggestion: Rassilon, add all the Mels information you want to the existing River article. If people complain that it's too long or unwieldy (or if they just chop it out without commenting on the Talk page), that's good evidence that it needs its own article. Ask friends who aren't that familiar with this wiki to find information about Mels on the article; if they have a problem finding it, that's good evidence too. If something like that happens, you'll probably be able to sell everyone else on splitting her off. If it doesn't, maybe you'll realize you're happy with the single-page result.
