Colonel Charles Crichton took over operations of UNIT in the United Kingdom following Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart's retirement. (TV: The Five Doctors) Crichton became a Brigadier between UNIT's 1983 reunion, and 1995, when he was called to assist in the defeat of the Great Intelligence. (PROSE: Downtime) Shortly after this, he departed from UNIT and he became Deputy Director of The Forge. Crichton was later assassinated by Nimrod. (PROSE: Project Valhalla)
