Melissa Majoria was a planet where bees originated from. Some of the bees made their way to Earth and made it their home planet, but by 2009 they had sensed impending doom and were making their way back to Melissa Majoria. Donna Noble noticed this several times, and remarked on it to the Doctor, who also found it odd (DW: Partners in Crime, Planet of the Ood).

In fact Melissa Majoria was one of the 27 planets stolen by Davros and his New Dalek Empire, and then put into the Medusa Cascade, one second out of the rest of the universe. The bees created a disturbance on the Tandoka scale as they travelled back towards their home planet, and the Doctor and Donna were able to trace this. Presumably the bees arrived back on Melissa Majoria. (DW: The Stolen Earth).

Behind the Scenes

Melissa Majoria is not to be confused with Miasimia Goria, a planet ruled over by the Rani (DW: The Mark of the Rani).

This is similar to the dolphins returning to their home planet in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
