Invasion
Background
UNIT, Sarah Jane Smith (via Mr Smith) and Torchwood 3 detected 200 ships entering the Earth's orbit after it's transportation to the Medusa Cascade. These ships were revealed to be Dalek Saucers when they sent a message that comprised of one word, "Exterminate". The Dalek fleet then descended to Earth and caused destruction on a global scale. Daleks were sent to attack all military installations, such as a Unified Intelligence Taskforce base in New York where Project Indigo was researched and developed. The Daleks were able to quickly overwhelm the combined Human forces.
During the first year of the Last Great Time War, Davros's command ship flew into the jaws of the Nightmare Child at the Gates of Elysium. Davros, however, was rescued by Dalek Caan. Caan was the last surviving member of the Cult of Skaro, which had been destroyed by the Doctor post-Time War in 1931. After activating an emergency temporal shift for the second time, Caan entered the timelocked Time War and rescued his creator. (DW: The Stolen Earth)

Davros made Caan his prophet, and set to work reviving the Dalek Empire of before the Time War. After building the Crucible, restoring the Dalek Fleet to 200 ships, and creating thousands of Daleks with the Kaled mutants inside grown from the cells of his own body, Davros sert to work with creating a Reality Bomb. This superweapon was to destroy all of reality in every universe except for the Crucible, leaving Daleks as the only species in existence. (DW: Journey's End)

The Unified Intelligence Taskforce was heavily involved in resisting the Dalek invasion fleet, even sending the Valiant to take on the Daleks although it was later destroyed due to the large number of Daleks, with their main guns, that swarmed the vessel.
To complete this task, 26 planets and one moon were stolen from various times and places across the universe. These included Earth, which brought the problem to the Doctor's attention. The Shadow Proclamation, after the Doctor's visit to them, wanted to go to war with the unknown (to them) perpetrators of this event. However, the Doctor did not wish for a full-scale war, and left to the Medusa Cascade itself.

Martha Jones used Project Indigo to escape from the Daleks in New York City and arrived back in England at her mother's house due to Project Indigo taping into her emotions.
Invasion
Not long after the planets were brought into the Cascade, the Dalek Fleet attacked. Most of the efforts seemed to go to Earth. The Unified Intelligence Taskforce fought back, but were slaughtered. The Valiant was destroyed nearly immediately by a swarm of Daleks, and military bases across the planet were attacked and all personnel killed, except for Martha Jones, who successfully used Project Indigo to teleport away.

After the loss of the Valiant and numerous other military installations and personnel, the Humans broadcasted their surrender to the New Dalek Empire. Humans were then rounded up by the Daleks, with those who resisted being exterminated, and taken away to the Crucible for an unknown variety of tests and experimentation.

Masters of Earth
A subwave network, made by the Mr Copper Foundation and used by Harriet Jones, former Prime Minister, was used in an attempt to help stop the Daleks. While an attack on Harriet's house followed by one on Torchwood 3 stopped the network from fully achieving this purpose, Harriet, Torchwood, Martha and Sarah Jane Smith (with the help of Mr Smith) transmitted a message to the Doctor, helping him to find the location of the stolen Earth. (DW: The Stolen Earth)
Although the Earth lay in defeat and ruin, Harriet Jones was able to use a undetectable Sub-wave communications network to find and communicate with Torchwood 3, Sarah Jane Smith (again via Mr Smith) and Martha Jones, calling the three different sets of people the "Doctor's Secret Army". After being able to boost the power to contract the Doctor, by using the power of the Cardiff rift and Mr Smith, which in turn caused the Sub-wave network to become detectable. The Daleks were able to locate and apparently exterminate Harriet Jones as she had made it so that the Sub-wave network would only be traced back to herself.

Before her death, Harriet Jones had transferred control of the now-detectable Sub-wave network to Torchwood 3, meaning that the Daleks were now able to locate Torchwood due to the network. The Supreme Dalek then ordered a Dalek Saucer move to attack and destroy Torchwood 3. Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones, using machine guns, were left to defend Torchwood as Captain Jack Harkness had left to find the Doctor. Without their knowing, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones were saved as the Hub was able to time-lock itself. This was set up by Toshiko Sato before her death.
However, the Dalek assault continued. Thanks to a time lock in the Torchwood Hub, the Torchwood team survived. Sarah Jane, trying to find the Doctor, was found by Daleks but saved by dimension-hopping Mickey Smith and Jackie Tyler, who then surrendered to the Daleks to find the Doctor, whose TARDIS (with the Doctor, Donna Noble, Jack Harkness and Rose Tyler inside) had been taken to the Crucible. (DW: Journey's End)

Sarah Jane Smith also encountered Daleks when she left her home to find the Doctor. Although she tried to apologize to the Daleks, both of the Daleks replied that the Daleks rejected the concept of apologies or surrender and prepared to exterminate her. Sarah Jane Smith was rescured when Mickey Smith and Jackie Tyler came from the parallel world and destroyed the two Daleks. The three then surrendered to the Daleks and were taken to the Crucible.

Ex-ter-minate! Ex-ter-minate! Ex-ter-minate! Ex-ter-minate!Dalek message to Earth [Stolen Earth [src]]

The War in the Medusa Cascade was a war fought between the New Dalek Empire and other races - mostly Humans - in the Medusa Cascade. It was fought in the Reality Bomb created by the, one second out of sync with the rest of the Universe, in 2009.

History

Background

It is not clear whether any other planets were attacked by the Daleks. Other worlds out of the 27 were inhabited, and would have presumably put up a resistance.
