The Governor of Nevada was an American political office which existed at least in the post-American Civil War period in the state of Nevada. Amongst other powers, the governor could issue rewards for the capture of criminals. A couple of posters in the Marshal's office in Mercy, Nevada suggested the governor was particularly concerned about train robbery. (DW: A Town Called Mercy)
