Capella Four (also known as Auriga) was a small, uninhabited world.

Astronomical Data

Capella Four was the fourth planet orbiting the double star Capella in the constellation Auriga. As both stars were quite hot, Capella Four was a warm world, with a desert-like biome.

Its native life was remarkable for its uniformity: native flora was dominated by plants resembling Earth's bracken fern (26 species, all identical except for size), while native fauna was restricted to 18 species of a nocturnal spider-like creature, also identical except for size. The fern-like plants and spider-like creatures were all consumable by humans. (BFBS: Steal from the World)

History

At one point in its distant past, the planet was an outpost of the now-vanished Aurigan civilisation.

In 2562, archaeologist Bernice Summerfield visited the planet to find traces of the Aurigan civilisation. Shortly after being dropped off on the planet, she fell off a cliff, breaking both legs. It took her a month to crawl back to the dig site. (BFBS: Steal from the World )
