The Crashbots were crash test dummies designed by a large humanoid species. Their purpose in life was to be destroyed so that their Masters could better understand and learn tips from their their destruction. With their red livery, a big 'C' on their chests and pop-off limbs, the Crashbots were so well designed that they began to feel a purpose to their lives. The arrival of the Doctor, recognising this new enhanced level of feeling, gave them a new purpose - that of living. They adopted the Doctor's interesting ideas and decided to travel the universe, seeking out new dangers and disasters. (COMIC: Dummy Run)
