Ben Jackson once called Polly Wright "Nanook of the North" to describe the thick outerwear she had found from the TARDIS wardrobe to protect her from Antarctic weather. (TV: The Tenth Planet)

Behind the scenes

Though unspecified in the script, Nanook of the North was a real person whose life had been captured in a 1922 award-winning documentary about Arctic Inuits. The name became synonymous with being prepared for, or thriving in, wintry conditions.
