The Time of Arising was an event named by Aukon as the time when the King Vampire would rise to conquer the universe. Aukon intended to initiate Adric as a chosen one at the event and also sacrifice Romana II as an offering. As the king rose, a scout ship plummeted into him, killing him and ruining the plan a thousand years in preparation. This in turn caused the Three Who Rule to die. (TV: State of Decay)
