I only meant to show that it is not likely to be intended as a reference to previous companions, as a previous editor of the article supposed (that statement was subsequently removed from the article, making my original comment confusing). The Rose and Crown is an actual pub and inn in the UK: http://www.roseandcrownsnettisham.co.uk/ I'm confused how it could be a reference to Donna? When did Donna ever wear a crown? If you're referring to her last names, Nobles do not wear crowns (royalty do), and Temples do not have anything to do with crowns either.
