Firn Kaerson was an executive at the Meson Broadcasting System. He told the Sixth Doctor about the invention of the Marston Sphere. After a transmat accident killed some of the Death-Hunt 3000 audience, he and Miriam Walker took charge of the evacuation. When Krllxk invaded the station, the Doctor was able to use the Marston Sphere to transport him and the other survivors to Torrok. While Giselle and Anson Hammond led the survivors and held off the Watchers and the robot Peace Keepers, he and Grant Markham deactivated the Peace Keepers. (PROSE: Time of Your Life)
