EastEnders was a television show broadcast in the United Kingdom, Earth, during the late 20th century and the 21st century. It was broadcast by the BBC and set in the fictional bourough of Walford.
It was noted for its depressing festive specials, and thus the Doctor believed the words, "This is going to be the best Christmas Walford has ever had" to be among the most unlucky that one could utter. (DW: The Impossible Planet)
The Doctor also claimed to have once had a dream in which all his old enemies chased him around its sets. (NA: First Frontier)
- This is a reference to the 30th anniversary charity short, "Dimensions in Time", which depicted events that could be characterized as a dream.
In summer 2007, with the new "ghost" craze sweeping the planet, one of the killed-off characters, Dennis Watts, was brought back to the show in ghost form. (DW: Army of Ghosts)
