Brainy specs was the name given to the glasses worn by the Doctor when he studied. The First Doctor was known to wear them (TV: The Time Meddler, The Daleks' Master Plan, TV: The War Machines, TV: The Romans, PROSE: Urrozdinee, et. al), as were the Fifth (TV: Frontios, TV: Time Crash, et. al) and Tenth Doctors. (TV: Tooth and Claw, TV: Rise of the Cybermen, TV: Time Crash, et. al)
