Into the Silent Land was the sixth short story in the Short Trips anthology Short Trips: Farewells. It was written by Steven A. Roman. It featured the Fourth Doctor and Romana II.
Summary
The Doctor begins dreaming about a beautiful garden that contains many memories from his past. Feeling his age, The Doctor decides to take his mind off his troubles by attending the funeral of his old friend, Hannah Gites. however, the Doctor discovers he can never escape trouble... and fears death is approaching, leaving Romana concerned for his state of mind.

- This story acts as something of a prequel to TV: Logopolis, with the appearance of the Watcher and the issue of the Fourth Doctor's approaching demise being the centre plot.
