2010 Christmas Special[[edit source]]
Why is the information about the 2010 Christmas Special on this page. In the past the Christmas Specials have always been classed to the previous series. Therefore this needs to be removed and be placed on Series 5. -- Michael Downey 21:38, March 27, 2010 (UTC)
- Not sure I follow you, here. Christmas specials are the beginning of the new series. 2005 is the start of 2006 series; 2006 the beginning of the 2007 series, and so on, with the 2009 specials being a bit of an oddity. From a production standpoint, all but the 2008 special have been filmed after a hiatus, so they're clearly not a part of the previous series in terms of production. In terms of marketing, they've all been in the box set of the next year's stories. And it will be no different with the 2010 special. It's not going to be on the series 5 box set, which will clearly come out before the special is even made. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 01:19, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

Series numbering[[edit source]]
Moffat's made it very clear that this is not series 6, period. The internal production numbering will be "2". Maybe we should stick with "32".

The reason he made is clear that this isn't season 6 is because he was afraid of losing big name sponsors, who are usually put off by a season 6 kind of thing. Nobody's really sure how to refer to it yet. Or at least, BBC isn't. Musedae 19:50, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
Same as Series 5... we still aren't clear on that either! --The Brig 10:40, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
Doctor Who is so messed up with series (yes not seasons please that is american we are not american). Series 1 I would say was the originals but then again series 1 started again when it was 'remade' in whateveryearitwasthattheyhad chistopher eccleston for one series. pointless thing that was. they shouldn't be allowed to quit after one series. I would call it series 6 as its the 'new' doctor who's and has no acossiation with the old apart from the name. 86.179.153.216 18:43, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

- The rumour had been removed by Mini-Mitch for no reason so I re-added. It has been confirmed by the Daily Star and I know they have had some un-true information in the past but they have also had some truths.(example of the titles for series 5 finale, months before the first title being confirmed) so it shall remain in the rumours page until properly confired or denied. -- Michael Downey 18:56, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
- To be honest, I wouldn't trust the Daily Star, but it should stay untill the rumor has been proven true or false. (;,;) Son of Icthar 12:07, February 15, 2011 (UTC)
Omega[[edit source]]
Why do people keep insisting that Omega will return? I've seen the rumors, and that's all they are obviously, flying around all through the build-up for Season 5 and now, not 24 hours after the finale to Season 5 has aired, people are once again insisting that Omega will return in Season 6. Let us remember that Omega is a Time Lord and all the Time Lords are gone, except The Doctor. I know, I know...they brought back The Master (why wouldn't they? he's been a recurring Doctor Who foe for a long, long time) and, very briefly, Rassillon, but that was only for a two-part finale episode. Omega does not qualify as a major foe, and in all honesty doesn't deserve to come back (my opinion only). Let's stop the Omega rumors. ScoutDaddy70 15:00, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
- Omega could come back because he's in the antimatter universe, and may not have even partisipated in the Time war. He could be breaking through to this universe again and thats whats causing the cracks, it just a possibility. Evilyoda 19:28, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
- I understand all that, however, for it to be an actual "spoiler" it needs to be based somewhere, somehow, on some facts. Has there been discussion of Omega from Moffat? Have the actors let slip anything? Or is all this Omega talk just the talk of fans hoping it is Omega? That's what I mean. Are people just wishing or are there concrete facts to back up this rumor? ScoutDaddy70 11:59, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
- Episodes 5 & 6 revolve around clones of the Doctor. Given that Omega tried to use the Doctor's DNA previously to create a body to escape, he could be using them as a means to try and return. (38.103.168.4 06:39, April 2, 2011 (UTC))
- Also, there was a greek symbol of omega with the roman numeral of two in the center on the armbands of the clerics and River Song in Time of Angels & Flesh and Stone. At first I thought it was a coincidence but the symbol returned in A Good Man Goes to War and it is everywhere in all three episodes where it apears, on the documents, on equipment and in Time of Angels & Flesh and Stone the symbol was the door handle.
- In a radio interview with Graham Norton, Moffat was asked if Omega would return, and if Benedict Cumberbatch would play him. Moffat only answered that he had no plans to cast Cumberbatch in the role.
There's no evidence in canon to support specifically the return of Omega whatsoever. It's just a rumour made up on the turd of a website that is Gallifrey Base with no evidence to support the assertion. It shouldn't appear in the article, or even the Big Bang one if we're to stay true to Wiki principles. Blightsoot 12:16, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
I agree you shouldn't bring Omega back. He is an old series enemy, and Moffat is trying to create new enemies. The only old enemies he'll bring back are Daleks, Cybermen, maybe The Master and then only the old monsters that were in the alliance (though most of them may not return). Omega is unlikely to return.Fallen5 14:00, July 3, 2010 (UTC)
In one interview (I don't remember where) Moffat referred to the Silence as being plural. This would seem to discount that idea that Omega is the Silence. If Moffat ever did bring back a character like Omega, he would probably do it in the same way he handled the Dream Lord/Valeyard connections, with implied rather than explicit links to the actual character from classic Who. But I'm pretty sure the Silence is something entirely new. Bluebox444 12:51, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
I agree. Yes Rasillon and The Master have both returned at least once (The Master 5 to 6 times) but Omega has absolutley no reason to return. Unless at least one person that has anything to do with the making of Series 6 is in love with the episode that has Omega in it (which I doubt and I havnt seen it so I cant really explain this too well so dont comment on this) I believe that almost everyone that had something to do with the show all together has forgotten almost completeley about him, sort of like with amy and rory before the season finale. What I want to know is how the doctor escapes, Amy comes back to life , how rory regained control, and how the girl the doctor told to fly the TARDIS to his location (I cant remember her name) survives the explosion, and my biggest question about series 6... How the tardis returns from the ashes of the explosion. If anyone has any ideas on how or finds something that mentions something about any of these questions please dont hesitate to post them.
Well I think it would be rather difficult for Omega to return since he was destroyed when Patrick Houghton's flute fell into the Tardis's forcefield generator (making it not converted to anitmatter), and when Omega knocked the forcefield generator out of Houghton's hands the anitmatter and matter collided and collapsed the blackhole that led into the anitmatter world, turning it into a supernova.≤DreamMaster≥
The 2nd Doctor's recorder somehow didn't kill him, because he was in Arc of Infinity (TV story). Doctor Who kills off villains, and then brings them back all the time. Davros died in almost every episode he was in, The Master died in a few episodes of the classic series, the TV Movie, and twice in the new series, the Daleks were completely destroyed in most of their ninth and tenth doctor episodes. In Doctor Who, just because an enemy has been completely destroyed, it doesn't mean they will never return, so Moffat could bring back Omega if he wanted to.Icecreamdif 22:03, September 27, 2010 (UTC)
It is possible that Omega could return as he is all powerful and highly intelligent. And any all powerful and highly intelligent being who's worth his or her stuff, will always have a get out plan or several. Son of Icthar 16:52, January 2, 2011 (UTC)
It could be plausable as Omega created the Eye of Harmony hence controling the TARDIS so he may return to this universe. This could explain why the series 5 finale was full of parallel universes. He could of blew up the TARDIS so he could slip through the cracks. Omega may also send the TARDIS to go back to the time war and Skaro. This would explain the Skaro rumours.
Toy Maker[[edit source]]
He Could be in episode three the one in the doll house. Joshoedit 20:29, October 2, 2010 (UTC)
I think thats likely, after all episode three is rumoured to be set in a dolls house, and on set pitures of monster dolls are now avadidble, and in the "Celestral Toy Maker" he did make the doctors companions face his dolls, and a few of the challanges were set in a giant doll house.
So what do you think? General MGD 109

Series 6 & Series 7[[edit source]]
We need to change the template for the episodes so that it only shows 7 episodes and then add Series 7 because Moffat has confirmed they are 2 seperate series now. Does anyone know how to do that? :)
- No. All that has been said is that series 6 will be split into two halves. This is different than two different series. Many American shows have a break half way through, which is what this is, not an entirely new series. The Thirteenth Doctor 12:03, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
- Actually to agree with whoever wrote the first statement, Steven Moffat has confirmed the split will be two seperate series rather than a continuation in this interview. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/video/2010/aug/29/doctor-who-cliffhanger-video) -- Michael Downey 12:39, August 30, 2010 (UTC).
- To be fair Moffat also called Series 5 Series 31 for a time, for now as with the discussion regarding 'Series 5 and what to call it' I think we need to wait for confirmation from the BBC, not just from Moffat. --Tangerineduel 13:55, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
- And Moffat also said it would be called series one.
- One thing from the video to note is he said that one series, "by the standard of any other drama series", is double the length. He then said it would be in Easter and the rest in autumn in "series seven", "I suppose". One other thing to bring up then is Matt Smith's run. It was said he'd stay for another three series, but is this meaning the half-series? --The Thirteenth Doctor 16:33, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
- another article: http://www.kasterborous.com/2010/08/29/more-series-6-split-details/ shows that there will be two series instead of splitting. maybe its time to split the article accordingly. Revanvolatrelundar 16:58, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
- That article is based on the video in the first link. Like Tangerineduel said, it's best to wait for a BBC source. Although he's head writer, Moffat doesn't decide what is classed as a series. The Thirteenth Doctor 17:11, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
- another article: http://www.kasterborous.com/2010/08/29/more-series-6-split-details/ shows that there will be two series instead of splitting. maybe its time to split the article accordingly. Revanvolatrelundar 16:58, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

The Case of Writing the Finale?[[edit source]]
It says that Steven Moffat will write 6 Episodes this Year INCLUDING A Christmas Carol.
... This would, therefore, imply that he is one Episode Short of writing the Finale:
- A Christmas Carol
- Series Opener: Pt.1
- Series Opener: Pt.2
- Cliffhanger: Pt.1
- Cliffhanger: Pt.1
- <One Episode>
Therefore, he cannot be writing the Finale unless he is only writing one of 12 or 13.
Is there any clarification on the case of who's writing what, or if the 6 Episode information is wrong?
1.Please sign your posts and 2. Yeah; 12 & 13 are a two parter so the 6 episode thing must be wrong. Unless someone else is writing the finale... Alpha111 22:00, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
Or most likely on the BBC website 4 the show a Christmas Special is episode 14 of series 5. so when Xmas is gone you add one more then 12/13 Joshoedit 19:31, January 10, 2011 (UTC) (or that some one can not count)
You forgot it says and the Christmas special it must be a typo. Alpha111 09:18, January 16, 2011 (UTC)
Who said the Finale will be a two-parter anyway? 81.110.190.227 18:00, January 17, 2011 (UTC)
Oh yeah; we presumed it because the last 5 series had multi part finales. Alpha111 13:33, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
Could you change it then. SM is not going to let anyone else write the finale, he's said that this finale will be more intimate and that he will write 6 episodes including ACC. The structure has changed so assume nothing.81.110.190.227 20:21, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

- Erm. No. There nothing wring with the bullet points. Each pint represents a different piece of information, which is why we have them as bullet-point. Also, it's easier for people to read. All this article does at this stage is give quickfire information, once the Series is over, we then deleted, combined and merge the appropriate information. Too many bullet-points is better than very few, large paragraphs. Mini-mitch\talk 18:12, March 31, 2011 (UTC)
- Fair enough, but I was just thinking some of them are the same or near enough identical. Up to you in the end. 80.193.182.191 08:14, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

Competition TARDIS[[edit source]]
Does everyone remember Blue Peter offered the chance for someone to design a TARDIS for the new series ?( at the time series 5 ) but it never appeared ? Well after catching the last 5 minutes while changing channels they revealed it to be seen in The Doctors Wife, again i wont edit anything until someone like an admin or mod can find a video etc on youtube. Secondary Cast[[edit source]]
I feel that it's obvious that the whole 1969, Silence, Little Girl, and Moon Landing stuff isn't over yet so why isn't Canton Everett Delaware the third not listed as a Secondary Cast member with River Song? He was invited to the Doctor's death so he must be involved in later events.
