Aleesha was a nine-year-old girl whose aunt and uncle were killed in The Year That Never Was. Aleesha's uncle was a soldier away in Iraq and on the day of the Toclafane invasion her mother had left her with her aunt and uncle while she went shopping. Aleesha went on the run to avoid being the Toclane's next victim and two weeks later she noticed Martha Jones, despite her perception filter, because of her glittery earrings.
