Haresh Chandra is the husband of Gita Chandra, and father of Rani Chandra. He can be pompous and he is the new headteacher a Park Vale School. He's a great cook and adores Rani and likes the fact that she likes Luke Smith and respects his intelligence but less impressed that Rani hangs around with Clyde Langer as he sees him as a trouble maker
