Corporal Adams was a UNIT soldier stationed at Devesham under Colonel Faraday. The Kraals made an android duplicate of him. (TV: The Android Invasion)

Max Faulkner had previously appeared as a member of UNIT in The Ambassadors of Death, where he was credited as "UNIT Soldier". It is possible that these two characters are one and the same.
