+I always assumed that the data ghost in the screwdriver was independent of the suit, and presumably a bit more sophisticated since, as the Doctor said, he had all that time to figure out a way to save her, and all he gave her was a screwdriver. If the data ghost was a sort of model of her brain waves, than it is possible for more than one device to be monitoring them. Plus, if there really was nothing left of her in the chair, the com link could not survive to hold the brain waves to be transfered to the screwdriver.
