Bliss was a mood drug sold on the planet New Earth. Infected with a virus, it killed its users. Prior to 5,000,000,053, it caused the majority of the Human (or Near-Human) population of New Earth to die within seconds, save the inhabitants of the undercity of New New York and in the Motorway to survive.
