Appletown was an idyllic village in the remote American desert where the townsfolk went peacefully about their suburban routines. It was destroyed when the Eleventh Doctor "skimmed" a nuclear warhead across the time span of an hour and a half to help the Ponds escape to the TARDIS. (PROSE: Nuclear Time)
