On 11 April 1865, Abraham Lincoln gave his final public address in the wake of the end of the American Civil War. (PROSE: Blood and Hope) Four days later, the Sixth Doctor and Evelyn Smythe travelled to the city to fix history changes made by Robert Knox, including Lincoln's assassination. In 1951, after being sequestered by intelligence agencies, the Eighth Doctor found himself needing to report to people in Washington, not long after visiting Moscow in Russia. (DW: The Impossible Astronaut / Day of the Moon) Before 1997 Brigadier-General Adrienne Kramer met the seventh incarnation of the Doctor in Washington when it was about to disappear into a time rift. Though it's possible that a real world location doesn't exist in the same geographic space in the Doctor Who universe, such cases are few and far between. Thus, the map to the right is probably a good indicator of the DWU location of Washington DC.
