Klimtenburg was a small Earth village. At some point prior to the 19th century, a Cyber-ship crashed into Klimtenburg's church building and remained underground for hundreds of years.
In the 19th century, the Eleventh Doctor arrived to find a strange plague spreading round the village which he discovered was really Hapthoid radiation poisoning from the Cyber-ship's reactor. Later, the Cybermen inside the ship attacked the village but they were destroyed in a battle with the villagers. (PROSE: Plague of the Cybermen)
