St Oscar's University

St. Oscar's University was located on the planet Dellah, and was one of the most prestigious centres of learning in the Milky Way. It was set up by the Sultan of Tashwari to remove the planet Dellah from the theatre of war which was a possibility in that sector of the galaxy. (BNA: Oh No It Isn't!)

It had a campus of nine colleges, built on a chain of hilly islands in Dellah's northern hemisphere. Transportation between islands was provided via a series of undersea tunnels. (BNA: Dry Pilgrimage) St. Oscar's University also had its own (and in fact Dellah's first and only) spaceport, on the northernmost island. The spaceport disrupted the weather patterns on Dellah, dramatically increasing the amount of precipitation. (BNA: Oh No It Isn't!, The Mary-Sue Extrusion) The university also had a seaport, located on the southernmost island, where it kept a dedicated ship, the Lady of Lorelei. (BNA: Dry Pilgrimage)

  • The Garland College Hall of Residence was a large, barrel-shaped brick building: traditional Dellahan residence architecture. It was nicknamed, inevitably, "The Barrel". The Rector's Rooms were located here; Bernice Summerfield, who held the Edward Watkinson chair of Archaeology, was also Rector of Garland College.
