Michael Brandon also played the part of Lt. James Dempsey in Dempsey and Makepeace; three years after he finished the series, he married his co-star, Glynis Barber and the two of them moved to the UK. He was the narrator of the US broadcasts of the children's television series Thomas & Friends from 2003 to 2012.
