Dalekmania was the name given to the excitement created when the Daleks were first introduced to Doctor Who in the mid-1960s. Their appearance, originally intended to be their only one, generated greater interest in the series and merchandise which included toys, books, movies and many televised sequels. Dalekmania was also the name given to a calender range that ran till 2009.
