A time shift is a distortion in the space-time continuum in which two time periods are linked.
St Teilo's Hospital was the location of time shifts between 1918 and 2008, which were investigated and ultimatly neutralised by Torchwood 3 with the help of Tommy Brockless. (TW: To the Last Man)
