Dawon was part of the Emerald Tiger.
She was captured by Lady Adela Forster in November 1926 after her previous owner was killed in anti-British Empire protests in Burma. Lady Adela intended to bring her back to the United Kingdom. On 31 December of that year, she tried to attack the Fifth Doctor's companion Tegan Jovanka and Turlough on the train on which she was being transported. She had a telepathic connection with Nyssa. She talked to Turlough about the curse of the Emerald Tiger, having Emeralds for Eyes and Diamonds for nails.
