Rani Chandra was a teenage girl who assisted Sarah Jane Smith and her friends in combatting alien menaces.
Biography
She quickly became mixed up in alien adventures after she and her family moved into 36 Bannerman Road in Ealing, London--the house formerly occupied by Alan and Maria Jackson. Rani wanted to become a journalist like Sarah Jane, an ambition encouraged by her parents, Gita and Haresh.
In the episode Secrets of the Stars it was revealed that she is an Aries when she was taken over by the Ancient Lights when Trueman reached them on the Zodiac.
