Cheng-Ting was a city in Cathay
The First Doctor, Susan, Barbara, and Ian stayed in a way-station in the city during their journey to Shang-Tu with Marco Polo's caravan. They arrived in the city after over a week's travel from Sinju. While in the city they tried to effect their escape, after Ping-Cho stole Marco's key for Susan, however Susan was caught by Tegana before she get reach the TARDIS. (TV: "Rider from Shang-Tu")
