Hawk was a CIA agent, sent to Wales with Jerome Weismuller.
In 1959, Hawk and Jerome were assigned to monitor the progress of an American satellite. When it crashed near Shangri-La in Wales after colliding with a Nostalgia Tours bus, they were assigned to recover it. They were captured by the Bannermen, but freed by Ray. Hawk's hand was burnt when he breached the perimeter of the sonic cone. The pair later recovered the satellite. (TV: Delta and the Bannermen)
