Semtis was a cold planet in the Andromeda galaxy. The Shroud turned it into a wasteland and made the inhabitants mentally unstable. (PROSE: Shroud of Sorrow)

Semtis is located in the Andromeda galaxy. It's cold climate suggests that Semtis didn't have close orbital distance to it's parent star.
History
The Shroud fed off Semtis before moving on to Earth.
When Earth was under threat from the Shroud the Eleventh Doctor, Clara Oswald, Warren Skeet and Mae Callon arrived. Once there they enlisted the help of the clowns who were able to cure the inhabitants of the planets using therapy. Once the threat from the Shroud had been eradicated Warren Skeet decided to settle on Semtis.
