He selects an adventure from his future, in which he and a companion he hasn’t met yet become embroiled in a murder mystery aboard the luxury starliner Hyperion Three. What dark secret is contained in the ship’s cargo hold? Can the passengers aboard be trusted? And will the Doctor really resort to genocide to ensure the defeat of the Vervoids?
Notable Information
- Agatha Christie’s ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ was written in 1934 some seven years after Donna Noble had prematurely mentioned it to the author herself. A copy of the book was seen being read by Professor Lasky aboard the Hyperion Three in 2986.
- The board game Cluedo based around a murder mystery, was first released in 1949 by a company called Waddingtons.
- The actress Freema Agyeman who played travelling companion Martha Jones was born on 20th March 1979.
- The Huguenot’s or Protestants, spoke out against Catholic attacks and incurred the wrath of Catherine de Medici, France’s Catholic Queen Mother in 1572 the result was a Massacre on St Bartholomew’s Eve.
- A spooky nursery rhyme heard at the end of Night Terrors hinted at the death of the Eleventh Doctor. It was written by Mark Gatiss on Steven Moffat’s request.
- Bowie Base One was destroyed in a nuclear explosion on 21st November 2059.
- Let's Kill Hitler was Steven Moffat’s 20th Doctor Who episode.
