Christopher Ryan (born 25 January 1950) appeared in several Doctor Who television stories: as Lord Kiv in Mindwarp, General Staal in The Sontaran Stratagem and The Poison Sky and Commander Stark in The Pandorica Opens, making him one of the few actors to appear in both the classic and revived series of Doctor Who.

A promotional image of him as General Staal was used to depict Commander Halke in the Doctor Who story The God Complex and Major Stenx on the cover of the New Series Adventures novel The Sontaran Games.

Outside of Doctor Who, he is best known as Mike Thecoolperson in The Young Ones and Dave Hedgehog in Bottom.
